These terms apply to everyone who uses Prizm — the apps for Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux, and the invite pages in the browser. By creating an account or joining a call you agree to them. How we handle your data is not part of these terms; it is in the privacy policy.

Prizm connects people who speak different languages. On a call, an AI interpreter translates each voice as it is spoken; in chat, every message and voice message is shown to each reader in their own language. Anyone with an invite link can join a call or a group from a browser as a guest, without an account.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Minutes and plans are provided as soon as you buy them, so when you buy you ask us to start before that period ends, and you agree that your right of withdrawal ends once we have begun. For a purchase made through Google Play or the App Store, refunds are handled by the store under its own rules.
Translations are produced automatically. They are usually good and never guaranteed: a word, a name, a number or a tone can come out wrong. Do not rely on a translation alone where a mistake could cause harm — for medical, legal or financial decisions, or in an emergency. You must not use Prizm to:
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules. Where we can, we tell you first and give you the chance to respond.
We work to keep Prizm available at all times, but calls travel over the internet and through services run by others, so we cannot promise that every call connects or that the service is never interrupted. We may improve, change or remove features; a change that takes away something you paid for does not apply to minutes or a plan period you have already paid for.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use of Prizm possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. What is deleted is described on the account-deletion page. We may end the service for you with one month's notice, or at once for a serious breach of these terms.
If we change these terms we tell you in the app in good time before the change takes effect, and say what changes. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
